Reserve Rules

To help preserve the natural environment and ensure the safety of guests and wildlife, all visitors are required to adhere to the reserve rules outlined below.

ACCESS & IDENTIFICATION

All guests must provide identification details for all visitors and vehicles at least 48 hours before arrival. Access to the reserve is only permitted with proof of identification.

GENERAL RULES

To ensure a respectful and peaceful environment for all:

  • No pets are allowed within the reserve.

  • No noise, parties or disturbance that interferes with other guests or wildlife.

  • No littering — please dispose of waste responsibly.

  • Respect privacy and refrain from entering private properties.

VEHICLE & DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

For safety and conservation:

  • Only licensed drivers may drive within the reserve.

  • All vehicles must be roadworthy and licensed.

  • No speeding — please observe the reserve speed limits.

  • Certain vehicles are prohibited, including motorbikes, quad bikes, buggies, water vehicles and similar devices.

FIRE SAFETY

Fires may be lit only in designated areas and must be fully extinguished before leaving the area or under strong windy conditions.

QUIET HOURS

To preserve the natural calm of the reserve:

  • Daily from 18:00 to 07:00
    Please observe quiet hours and minimise noise during these times.

WILDLIFE & NATURE

To protect the reserve’s ecology:

  • Wildlife may not be disturbed or fed.

  • Plants and flora may not be damaged or removed.

NON-COMPLIANCE

Failure to comply with these rules may result in access being denied or revoked and could lead to fines as determined by the Zwartkloof Homeowners Association.
